April 2010: News-Beach House LEED Announcement

 

DETAILS

The Annenberg Community Beach House opened on April 25, 2009. It is open year-round (pool is open seasonally). It is the first-known facility offering a beach club experience to the general public. The Beach House is operated by the City of Santa Monica through a long-term agreement with the State of California. The project was made possible by generous funding from the Annenberg Foundation, at the recommendation of Wallis Annenberg. The Beach House is located directly on Santa Monica Bay at 415 Pacific Coast Highway in Santa Monica.

Construction Cost: $31.5 million

Project Length: Initial planning began in 1999. Design and construction began in 2005 and ended in January 2009.
